Express Solicitors has reported a 35% increase in fee income over the last 12 months.

The firm, which has also seen its caseloads grow by 34% over the past year, has reported an end of year figure of £7.2m for 2013. It posted an income amount of £5.3m for 2012.

As well as a 53% increase in its stake in the Injury Lawyers 4 U consortium and a rise in expenditure on its web presence, the firm has made a number of promotions and appointments during the year as it looks to reach a target of £10m of turnover within two to three years.

Managing partner James Maxey said that despite the changes in law making life harder for personal injury firms, Express Solicitors had had a "fantastic year".

“We are an ambitious firm with a solid growth strategy in place and we’ve been proactive in both marketing and recruitment to ensure the firm deals with the enormous changes in the legal marketplace, without feeling their force financially," he said.

“With a great team behind us, we will look to consolidate and grow over the next year.”
