Weightmans become fourth ABI associate member

Weightmans has become the fourth firm to join the Association of British Insurers (ABI) as an associate member.

Following BLM, DAC Beachcroft and Keoghs, the firm joins the ABI’s new membership category which has been developed to meet demand from non-insurance companies to join the ABI, such as legal firms, consultants, and price comparison sites.

Weightmans has offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Leicester and Dartford. It provides a wide range of legal services to insurers.

Associate members benefit from a wide range of ABI services including access to the full range of ABI statistics, industry updates, thought leadership work, networking opportunities and reduced rates for ABI events.

Huw Evans, ABI director general, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Weightmans as our latest associate member. This will enable them to further develop their already strong links with the industry. Weightmans are a valued sponsor of the ABI’s current Future Leaders programme, and we look forward to further strengthening our working relationship.”

Weightmans head of insurance, Kieran Jones said that he was delighted to become an associate member of the ABI.

“Weightmans are known as a national insurance player, and this membership substantiates our position as a firm that provides full insurance services to the insurance market,” he said.

“Weightmans holds a long standing relationship with the ABI, and we look forward to working together on further projects in the future.”
