Gallagher Bassett appoints Simon Pemberton as UK CEO

Risk and claims management firm Gallagher Bassett has named Simon Pemberton as its new UK CEO.

Pemberton will take over from current UK managing director, Nick Bonser, at the beginning of April. Bonser is retiring from the business after 15 years of service.

Noting his strong belief that Gallagher Bassett is poised for a period of rapid growth, Bonser feels that now is the time to deploy the robust succession plan that the firm already has in place. He intends to stay on until June to ensure a smooth transition.

Jon Winsbury, executive vice president of Gallagher Bassett International, commented: “Simon has been a strong leader within the UK business for a long time.”

“He has worked his way up through the ranks in both operational and sales functions, so he has a very strong understanding of all facets of our business. Simon has excellent relationships with our clients, teammates and the wider broker and carrier markets and the total confidence of our UK and global leadership.”

Bonser added: “He will build on Nick’s successes while developing new pathways for growth and excellence in claims management and customer service. I wish Nick and Simon all the best as they move into their new roles and life stages.”
