QuestGates acquires third-party motor claims handling specialist

Loss adjusting company QuestGates has acquired third-party motor claims handling specialist C&S Associates.

The acquisition was completed without the need for external funding. QuestGates did not disclose the value of the deal for C&S, a company founded in 1995 and provider of claims handling services for third-party property damage, credit hire and bodily injury claims.

C&S will be fully integrated into QuestGates. Stuart Lansdown, its director of third-party services, will take over day-to-day responsibility while the founding directors of the acquired company, Mike Smith and Chris Chamberlain, will remain available to the business as consultants.

Commenting on the acquisition, Lansdown said: “C&S has a long established track record and the skills the team brings will complement the existing expertise within our third-party services team and adds to the capabilities of our motor team, enabling us to now provide a true end-to-end service for motor injury and third-party property damage-related claims. We are delighted to welcome the team on board.”

In a joint statement, Smith and Chamberlain added: “We’re proud of the business and reputation we have built over the past 27 years, but in order to grow further and create new opportunities for our team, we felt it was the right time for the company to become part of a larger business.”

“QuestGates shares our service ethos and has built an enviable culture of nurturing talent. Not only that, the technology they use as the bedrock of their service offering is second to none. We’re confident that our team will be able to grow their skills further as part of QuestGates and that our clients will benefit enormously from the enhanced range of solutions available to them.”
