John Bayley promoted to global technical director, leading innovation and improving services at McLarens Aviation.
McLarens Aviation, a prominent provider of survey and loss adjusting services for the global aviation industry, has announced the promotion of John Bayley to the newly created role of global technical director. Bayley will continue as regional director for Europe.
As global technical director, Bayley will focus on improving technical standards and driving innovation across the company’s global network. With the rapid growth of new aerospace technologies like electric aircraft and drones, Bayley’s role is vital for keeping McLarens Aviation ahead of industry changes.
Commenting on the appointment, Trehane Oliver, managing director of McLarens Aviation, said: “Creating the global technical director role is about refining an already strong offering. John’s leadership and technical vision will enhance how we deliver value to our clients and drive innovation.”
Bayley, who joined McLarens Aviation in 1998 following a 15-year career in the aviation industry, brings a wealth of experience in engineering and claims handling, having managed numerous complex aerospace claims. He emphasised the importance of staying ahead in a rapidly evolving market: “The aviation insurance sector must keep pace with developing aerospace technology while supporting the existing industry. With a phenomenal team of engineers and adjusters, we aim to maximise our existing knowledge base while recruiting quality individuals to enhance it.”
McLarens Aviation has made other key changes recently. In the UK, Gary Clift and Andrew Southall were promoted to new management roles, helping expand the survey team. Globally, Tan Soon Keat was named regional director for Asia, and Philip Galbraith became general manager in Singapore.
