Carpenters Group Names Alder Hey as Charity of the Year Following Colleague Vote

Carpenters Group has announced Alder Hey Children’s Charity as its Charity of the Year, following a company-wide vote involving colleagues across the business.

The vote gave colleagues the opportunity to nominate and select a charity that holds a special place in the heart of their people. Following strong support from teams across the organisation, Alder Hey Children’s Charity was chosen as the charity they will champion over the next 12 months.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to support Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, helping to provide life-saving equipment, innovative research and enhanced experiences for children and their families.

Throughout the year, colleagues from across Carpenters Group will take part in a variety of fundraising activities, events and challenges, with all funds raised helping Alder Hey continue its incredible work supporting young patients and their families.

Donna Richards, CEO of Carpenters Group, said:

“We are delighted to announce Alder Hey as our colleague voted Charity of the Year. The result reflects our colleagues’ desire to support a cause local to our headquarters that has a significant impact on the children and families in contact with the hospital. We are looking forward to working with Alder Hey throughout the year and raising as much money as we can to go towards the amazing work they do.”

Carpenters Group has a long-standing commitment to supporting charitable organisations and giving back to the communities in which it operates. The appointment of Alder Hey as Carpenters Group’s Charity of the Year complements their existing charitable commitments and community partnerships. Alongside fundraising activities in support of Alder Hey, Carpenters Group will continue their extensive work with grassroots organisations and local initiatives, including Fans Supporting Foodbanks, Fishing the Mind, the LFC Foundation, the Greenbank Project and many more. Through these partnerships, the business remains committed to making a positive impact in their local communities.

Further details about planned fundraising events and opportunities to support Alder Hey will be shared throughout the year.
