Vamco, the motor accident claims specialist has launched a new parts service which will allow bodyshops to access genuine manufacturer parts for repairs, with all associated costs settled directly by Vamco with the insurance company or fleet operator.

Called Partsave, the company has hailed it as a ground-breaking parts procurement initiative for the crash repair and dealer after-sales market.

Partsave, says Vamco, not only frees up cashflow for bodyshops, but also streamlines administration, invoicing and credit control.

Tony Rand, managing director of Vamco said that the service represented a win-win solution for bodyshops, dealers, motor manufacturers and motorists.

“Given the choice bodyshops will always prefer to use and fit genuine parts," said Rand. "And with Partsave dealers will sell more parts and manufacturers protect the value of their automotive brands. And let’s not forget the motorists who get their vehicles repaired back to their original specification.”

“The interest and take up of Partsave from bodyshops has been extremely positive and is exceeding our initial expectations.

“We’re currently operational in a number of launch sites around the UK and are receiving strong support from dealerships, including some of the largest national dealer groups.

“We have had discussions with almost all major automotive manufacturers and they are following our progress with interest”, he added.

A national roll-out of Partsave is planned across England, Wales and Scotland over the coming six months, supported by Vamco’s in-house specialist procurement team.
