Hill Dickinson's Counter Fraud Group has hired the five strong Aviva fraud team following the closure of the insurer's motor claims Manchester office in December.

 

The team, with a combined 32 years’ experience in complex fraud investigation, will be based at the law firm's Manchester office.

 

The addition of the ex-Aviva team strengthens the counter fraud group’s complex fraud investigation capabilities, supporting its drive to further increase detection of established and emerging fraud rings in 2014.

 

One of the new recruits, ex-Aviva unit fraud manager Matthew Geary said that Hill Dickinson had always stood out with their passion for fraud prevention and innovation.

 

"That’s exactly the culture we wanted to work in," he said, speaking on behalf of his colleagues.

 

"We are really excited to be here and to have the chance to use and increase our skill sets. For the first time, we have a proverbial treasure trove of systems and options to help us investigate complex fraud more efficiently and successfully. ”

 

Peter Oakes, head of fraud at Hill Dickinson said that the Aviva fraud team were known for their counter fraud excellence.
