Minster Law is to expand into the travel claims market after appointing former Pannone lawyer Andrew Morton.
Morton, a UK travel law expert who set up a successful specialised holiday litigation department at Pannone, will now create a travel law team at the BGL group-owned firm. Morton’s new team will be responsible for managing all travel related claims issues – from foreign road collisions and minor holiday injuries to transport claims relating to aviation, maritime and rail incidents.
Morton said that the development of the new line of work for Minster Law was a “great opportunity” for the firm.
“Minster Law and the BGL Group have a strong customer-focused approach to all claims management, and its experience and industry-leading supplier network provides a robust platform for expansion into this new area. I’m looking forward to recruiting and developing my team as we build momentum,” he said.
Stuart Ramsey, the managing director of Minster Law, said that Morton was “extremely well placed” to lead the firm’s entry into the travel claims market.
“We believe that his impressive background and travel claims expertise adds significant strength to our leadership,” he said.
“As a business, we are entering an exciting phase and this move is an important development [for] future growth.”
