Quindell has announced the appointment of a new finance director. Mark Williams will join the group in the role once it has completed the sale of legal services division to Slater and Gordon.
Williams has been working with Quindell from January as an integral member of the consultancy team appointed to assist the struggling claims outsourcer’s board.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Williams and has nearly 30 years of finance experience. Having qualified with what is now Deloitte, he has worked for a number of companies, from technology driven entrepreneurial start up through to divisions of major international FTSE businesses. He has operated at board level for the past 15 years, including roles at AXA, Cofunds, Guardian Royal Exchange, Legal & General, Old Mutual and Skandia.
Richard Rose, non-executive chairman designate, said: “Mark has been working with the Group for a number of months and has been assisting the Board on a number of work streams. This experience will help him hit the ground running and we are delighted to welcome Mark to this new phase in the Company’s history.”
Quindell has also confirmed that Laurence Moorse, the outgoing group finance director, will step down from the board after the completion of the Slater and Gordon deal. He will remain available to the board and the finance team to provide an orderly handover.
