New head of medical negligence for Fletchers solicitors

Fletchers Solicitors has announced the appointment of a new head of medical negligence.

Georgia Briscoe, who joined the firm as a senior solicitor in January this year has been promoted to head up Fletchers’ 74-strong medical negligence team.

Briscoe, a former partner at EAD Solicitors, will be responsible for overseeing one of the largest specialist medical negligence departments in the country. Her elevation comes after a recent office expansion and recruitment drive for the firm, prompted in part by Fletchers’ decision to set up a specialist high value medical injury unit within its clinical negligence department.

Briscoe said that she had joined Fletchers earlier this year in order to take on a new challenge and welcomed her new responsibilities.

“I am excited to take up my new role to help develop the ever-growing medical negligence department as well as enhance our already enviable reputation that we have in the field,” she said.

“By ensuring we continue to deliver excellent support and services to all of our clients, I am hoping to see Fletchers Solicitors become the number one choice for medical negligence claims in the UK in the coming months.”

Ed Fletcher, CEO at Fletchers Solicitors, said that Briscoe had shown an “incredibly impressive” level of experience and expertise since joining the firm.

“During her short time here, she has demonstrated that she is hard-working and determined and as such she is a great asset to our team. We look forward to seeing how she can help develop and grow our already fantastic offering,” he said.
