Legal expenses provider ARAG has continued to pursue its expansion plans with three important appointments to its underwriting team.
Andy Dyer joins the company as underwriting operations manager, bringing with him more than twenty years’ insurance industry experience, the majority of which has been gained in the legal expenses sector.
“This is a fascinating time for the future of the legal expenses market,” said Dyer.
“With ever-increasing customer expectations and a swathe of fundamental changes in the industry. I’m very excited to join a business at the forefront of the sector, where I will have the opportunity to play a part in shaping that future.”
Joining him in the underwriting team is Ryan Smith, who takes on the role of ATE technical underwriting manager. Smith also brings plenty of insurance experience to his new position, having worked in the industry for over 15 years, more than half of which has been spent as an ATE underwriter.
“I wanted to work for ARAG because the company has a reputation for being innovative and for focusing heavily on customer service. It’s a growing team, bringing in a lot of experience and the company is clearly investing in this particular part of the market,” he said.
The final new recruit to the underwriting team is ATE technical underwriter, Tom Hunt. A law graduate, Tom has worked in the insurance industry for more than four years, the last two of which have been spent as an assistant legal expenses underwriter.
The appointments represent a further boost to the ARAG After-the-Event underwriting team, which was bolstered by the recruitment of Kelsie Dellon to the role of ATE Technical Underwriter and Monika Wiatr, as an ATE Underwriting Assistant, earlier in the year.
