Zurich appoints Hayley Robinson as UK chief underwriting officer

Zurich has appointed Hayley Robinson as chief underwriting officer in the UK, giving her oversight of its strategy across all general insurance lines of business.

Robinson joins Zurich from RSA, where she was most recently managing director of global risk solutions for the UK and international markets.

At RSA, she was responsible for the overall profit and loss across large and complex customers, including the London market, marine, renewable energy and wholesale.

Prior to this, Robinson was director of global specialty lines in the UK and Western Europe following a stint at Aviva as UK chief underwriting officer for personal lines.

Robinson commented: “The underwriting arena is more vibrant than ever as we work at pace to anticipate and respond to customer needs and market shifts.
