New faces at Direct Group to manage growth

Direct Group has bolstered its claims division with the addition of three new account managers, following its appointment as an outsourced provider for Geo Underwriting.

The company’s claims division was given responsibility for claims management at Geo Underwriting, previously known as Towergate Underwriting, as an outsourced provider within a group structure following Ardonagh Group’s acquisition of Direct Group last year.

Katrina Beagan, Sam Horton and Tracey McManus took up their new roles with immediate effect.

Horton is an internal appointment, while McManus joined Direct Group at the end of March from Endsleigh and Zurich, where she spent eight years in the household claims team.

Katrina joined Direct Group from Imperial Consultants.

Lee Bradshaw, director of account management at Direct Group, said: “These new appointments reflect the fact that Direct Group’s growth has accelerated since becoming part of Ardonagh Group. We are one of the few businesses in the claims sector that is growing and its important we recruit for this.”

“As a result we needed to develop our account management team to support our clients. This process is ongoing so we are keen to talk to high calibre people who want to work in a rapidly expanding claims business.”

Direct Group’s claims division is based in Doncaster, Elland and Preston.
