Commercial and General has selected insurtech company Iotatech’s claims management solution for all of its insurance products.
The insurer will use Iotatech Claims for full claims handling across all its products, starting with car hire excess, private car excess, home excess and commercial vehicle excess insurance.
The Iotatech Claims platform, internet of things-ready, intelligent pay-per-use solution, will be implemented and ready to use at the end of March.
Commercial & General chief executive Bradley Bandon-Cross said of the decision to partner with Iotatech: “The technology is remarkable and meets our current and future business needs, and at last having a true software-as-a-service provider in the marketplace is perfect for an ambitious and growing business like Commercial & General. It means we can be agile and upgrade continuously as we grow without any disruption.”
“The speed and flexibility of the platform will give us a real competitive edge as it will enable us to launch new products quickly to market and tailor the customer experience for every claim.”
Iotatech chief revenue officer and co-founding director Robert Thomson said the insurtech company was looking forward to working with Commercial & General.
He said: “They are an ideal client with ambitious growth plans and a clear go to market strategy.”
“Following our recent announcements regarding our funding, Strategic Advisory Council and partnership with CGI, the deal with Commercial & General establishes Iotatech as a new and real alternative to the traditional and legacy solutions.”
Iotatech raised its target of £1 million of second round funding in November.
