Motorcycle specialist MCE Insurance has appointed Abigail Griffiths as head of claims.
Having joined MCE in 2014 as a customer services adviser, Griffiths has since held various claims-based roles including file handler, team manager and department manager in the insurance provider’s pre-litigation unit.
She is the latest senior manager to come through MCE’s career development programme, which has resulted in 88% of the insurance provider’s current senior team having been appointed from within.
In her new role, Griffiths will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent customer experience, claims cost management, fraud prevention and for implementing the latest claims technology.
Julian Edwards, chief executive officer of MCE, says: “I am delighted that Abigail has accepted this new role at a crucial time in the development of our friction-free, self-service business model.”
“Her rapid development within MCE is testament to her intelligence, professionalism, collaborative nature and ability to consistently deliver upon objectives. Her knowledge of emerging claims technology means we have the ideal person to lead us towards a new, more efficient way of managing claims and providing the highest quality customer service.”
Griffiths’s appointment brings female representation on the MCE leadership team to 34% with full parity expected to be achieved in the coming years.
MCE has reported a zero gender pay gap for the last two years running.
