Phil Dicken becomes chair of Claims Portal

Phil Dicken has been named as chair of low-value personal injury service Claims Portal.

Dicken, who takes over from Tim Wallis as chair, has nearly 30 years of experience in UK insurance claims, having worked with both claimant representatives and compensators. He brings “a uniquely balanced and independent perspective to the role”.

Commenting on his appointment, Dicken said: “Claims Portal has benefitted enormously from having Tim’s hand on the rudder for 12 years. Tim has navigated some difficult choppy waters with great success throughout that time.”

“I hope to do justice to everything that he has achieved and look forward with great excitement to working with the Board and leading Claims Portal through the challenges and opportunities both now and in the years to come.”

Wallis said: “It has been a privilege to serve the board and all the users of Claims Portal. My work has been made possible by the trust placed in me by the present and former directors of Claims Portal. I now look forward to new challenges in (alternative) dispute resolution with Trust Mediation and Trust Arbitration.”
