QBE creates client proposition team

QBE has created a client proposition team as part of its drive to enhance its client offering and deliver a top-notch service.

Matt Lacy (pictured) will lead the team in the newly created role of director of client proposition.

The client proposition team brings together multiple QBE specialisms under one leadership structure.

These include client management, with responsibility for supporting QBE’s largest clients in partnership with brokers, and risk solutions, which is a 24-strong team of risk management professionals that provide education and mitigation advice across a range of practices.

The new team will also oversee proposition management, to ensure QBE’s offering is relevant and designed with its chosen sectors in mind, and client capability, to focus on segmentation, satisfaction measurement and insight.

QBE has chosen a leader in Lacy who has more than 20 years of experience in insurance and has been with the insurer since 2002.

In that time, he has held a variety of positions, including head of London markets, director of casualty and, most recently, programme director for construction and multinational.

Lacy will report into Andrew Besant, chief customer officer of QBE European Operations, who commented: “Matt has been an integral part in the success of QBE’s insurance division.

“He knows our clients and their requirements well and his technical underwriting experience will be invaluable as we look to strengthen how we engage with our clients.

“His appointment is another excellent example of the strength of our internal pool of talent.”
