Verisk has appointed Chris Sawford to the role of managing director of claims for the UK.
Sawford, who joined Verisk in 2018 after it acquired his claims management solutions provider Validus-IVC, will take the lead on strategic initiatives that help insurers boost automation, increase efficiency and contain costs.
Verisk, a data analytics and technology provider to the insurance industry, has strengthened its existing data sets and functionality with the acquisition of Europe-based businesses, including Actineo, Mavera and an insurance industry software specialist now known as Specialty Business Solutions.
Sawford has played a key role in these developments. Maroun Mourad, president of claims solutions at Verisk, commented: “We’re laser-focused on driving operational efficiency and digital transformation for our clients and the global insurance industry.
“Chris’s leadership and ongoing initiatives throughout the business have accelerated our efforts to better support the operational and digital aspirations of our clients in the UK and Continental Europe.”
Sawford said: “Verisk is uniquely positioned to partner with the insurance industry to address its biggest challenges.
“I’m incredibly excited about working with our talented, knowledgeable and passionate team to help our clients capitalise on the operational opportunities they need to move their business forward in a complex environment.”
