Fletchers grows clinical negligence base with latest acquisition

Fletchers Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of the clinical negligence business of North West boutique law firm Sheldon Davidson Solicitors (SDS), in a move that further strengthens Fletchers’ clinical negligence offering to clients.

The acquisition forms part of Fletchers’ wider growth strategy, which focuses on targeted acquisitions of firms that align with its commitment to legal excellence and exceptional client service.

Over the coming weeks, all clinical negligence cases from SDS, which is based in Bury, Greater Manchester, will transition to Fletchers, along with two members of the team. The rest of the firm is not part of the acquisition and will continue to operate independently, focusing on its other specialist areas of law, including personal injury and housing disrepair.

Charlene Mann, Fletchers’ Managing Director of New Acquisitions, said:

“It’s great to welcome Sheldon Davidson Solicitors’ clinical negligence clients and colleagues to Fletchers. This acquisition reinforces our strategy to grow by partnering with like-minded practices that complement our own – always putting client service and legal expertise at the forefront of everything we do.

“This latest development underlines our position as the UK’s leading clinical negligence practice and reinforces our ambition to continue setting the highest standards in the sector.”

This acquisition follows a series of strategic investments by Fletchers aimed at scaling its capabilities and delivering industry-leading support to seriously injured people, most recently marked by the acquisition of Scott Rees in January this year. The firm also opened an office in Newcastle in May, which plans to grow to 30 colleagues.
