DAC Beachcroft has strengthened its national claims solutions business with the appointment of a new London-based partner.
David Johnson has joined DAC Beachcroft from Weightmans, where he led its political and markets advisory group for four years.
Johnson (pictured) specialises in handling complex, large-loss and catastrophic injury cases, particularly those involving severe traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and high-value fatal accident claims.
He is a member of the International Underwriting Association’s cross-party group on the Rehabilitation Code and has given evidence before government and the judiciary on a variety of civil procedure issues, most notably including the discount rate.

The law firm strengthened its claims solutions business with the appointment of two new partners late last year.
Kate Archer returned to DAC Beachcroft after almost five years at DWF, where she was a director. A specialist in defending motor-related large loss and catastrophic injury claims, she joined DAC Beachcroft’s motor insurance team in Manchester.
Paul Cox, also a specialist in large loss and catastrophic injury cases, joined as a partner in the firm’s catastrophic injury team.
