Harrison Associates has once again received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for both case management and expert witness (independent evaluation) services.
The catastrophic injury case management, rehabilitation and expert witness specialist is the only provider in the UK to be accredited in these two areas.
It is the third time that Harrison Associates, which was acquired by handl Group in April, has received the award.
On each occasion, the provider has received the maximum accreditation available—currently a period of three years—with all its programmes accredited, including services to children, adolescents and adults, and specialist services to clients suffering from brain injures.
CARF quality standards are recognised as the roadmap for client-centered quality practices that assist service providers in maintaining a leading edge.
The process for accreditation is rigorous, with an on-site peer review and intensive audit over several days involving independent consultation and interviews with solicitors, insurers, team members and injured clients.
All policies, processes and procedures are reviewed, in addition to spot checks on clinical files.
Niccola Irwin, managing director of Harrison Associates, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the maximum three-year CARF accreditation for the third time in succession. My thanks to the team at Harrison Associates who embody and remain committed to the rigorous standards that this accreditation evidences.”
