Legal expenses insurance and assistance provider ARAG has appointed Heather Wilmot to the position of claims operations manager. In this newly created role, Wilmot will be responsible for the operational management of both before-the-event (BTE) and after-the-event (ATE) claims functions.
Focusing on the customer experience, Wilmot will ensure that ARAG’s claims teams continue to deliver the service on which the provider’s success has been built.
Chris Millward, head of claims at ARAG, commented: “Heather has contributed as much as anyone to developing the outstanding claims service, on which our BTE policyholders and partners depend. I’m very pleased to put the responsibility for both BTE and ATE claims operations in her capable hands.”
“Heather’s experience and thorough understanding of our customer journeys will be vital in the strategic development of our claims services, ensuring that ARAG does not rest on its laurels and continues to improve the customer experience.”
Wilmot has risen through the ranks of ARAG’s claims department, during nearly 12 years of service with the company, though she took her first claims role in the legal expenses insurance sector almost 15 years ago.
Global insurance services provider McLarens has strengthened its third-party administration (TPA) offering with the appointment of Kirsten Early as global head of TPA.
Early will spearhead the strategic expansion of McLarens TPA, building upon the firm’s existing proposition to develop a global service focused on quality, specialist expertise and data-driven solutions.
Early’s 20-year career has focused primarily on building and implementing international claims initiatives, with senior management roles held at Marsh, ESIS and Crawford. She has extensive experience working with brokers, insurers, captives and corporates, including FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients worldwide.
Her expertise lies in developing the protocols, best practices and claims servicing guidelines to ensure the delivery of consistent, efficient programmes, across all lines of coverage.
As global head of TPA based in London, Early will report to Chris Panes, chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific, and take responsibility for the further development and strategic growth of McLarens TPA.
The newly created role will support the alignment of McLarens’s regional TPA operations, to develop a dedicated division focussed on offering consistency and quality across the firm’s international network.
In line with McLarens’ provision of expert-led loss adjusting for complex, commercial and niche insurance markets, McLarens TPA offers a specialist approach to outsourced claims handling, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes for clients. Kirsten will draw upon her expertise to further enhance this capability.
Information analytics and data-based insights will be central to this approach, and one of Kirsten’s first priorities will be the integration of technology and operations capabilities within McLarens One—the firm’s end-to-end global claims platform—to drive innovation and facilitate the delivery of global data sets to TPA clients.
McLarens TPA will offer a seamless, single worldwide platform and will not be constrained by legacy systems, delivering solutions that are designed and built for the rapidly changing market requirements.
