QuestGates strengthens complex loss team with new appointment

Specialist loss adjuster QuestGates has further strengthened its growing complex loss team with the appointment of Steve Sawyer.

In his new role as senior technical complex loss adjuster, Sawyer will report to Jon Toulson, head of liability complex and major loss. They previously worked together for a number of years at Sedgwick.

Commenting on the appointment of Sawyer, who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to QuestGates, particularly in third-party property and product liability claims, Toulson said: “The skills and experience that Steve has will complement those we already have on board and will support the continued development of our complex loss team as well the continued growth of our specialist divisions.”

“Having worked with Steve in the past, I have first-hand experience of his dedication and professionalism and know that his outstanding reputation is well deserved. I’m extremely pleased to be able to welcome him to the complex loss team.”

Stuart Lansdown, director of third-party services, added: “QuestGates reputation is built on providing clients with the highest level of customer service, delivered by experts who are passionate about what they do. In this respect Steve’s reputation precedes him and I’ve no doubt he will add enormous value to our service provision.”

Sawyer has more than a decade of experience in the insurance profession. He joins QuestGates from Crawford & Co where he was a senior adjuster focused on casualty specialist and international risks.

A legal practice course graduate, Sawyer is also able to use his extensive knowledge of the law and its application within insurance in his role as a complex loss adjuster.

Commenting on his new role, Sawyer said: “I’m looking forward to working with Jon again and not only contributing to the great work that the QuestGates complex loss team are doing, but learning from my new colleagues. QuestGates is renowned for nurturing talent and developing the next generation of adjusters, and I relish the opportunity the business is giving me to develop my technical skills further.”
