Congratulations to the winners of the British Claims Awards 2023!

Sedgwick and Zurich were among the big winners last night

They excelled across the 21 categories contested and announced during last night’s British Claims Awards 2023 ceremony in London.

The big winner of the night was claims management company Sedgwick, which went home with three awards.

Sedgwick won Loss Adjuster of the Year for delivering “fantastic results” that “put this loss adjuster ahead of the competition”.

Capping off a fantastic night for the business, Sedgwick also won Commercial Lines Broker of the Year in a joint submission with Simply Business. Their partnership “champions simplicity, speed and convenience in a claims service”.

Sedgwick was also named Outsourced Partner of the Year.

Partnerships were front and centre at the British Claims Awards 2023 ceremony, with McLarens, Allianz and Willis Insurance and Risk Management picking up the Major Loss Award.

They offered a “superb example of collaboration and industry partnerships delivering an exceptional response to significant events”.

Among the other big winners was Zurich. The insurer won Outstanding Services to the Policyholder for its new concierge service, which delivers “a personal experience that is proactive and innovative”.

Zurich also went home with the trophy for Personal Lines Insurer of the Year, thanks in part for advancing its digital capabilities to boost the speed and effectiveness of claims resolution.

All the winners are listed below. The ceremony was a fantastic evening of networking, socialising and celebrating, with much of the British insurance claims community represented.

We supported five great charities—ANDYSMANCLUB, Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, The Brain Tumour Charity, Leeds North & West Foodbank and DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal—and celebrated another year of the British Claims Awards.

The first batch of official photos—of our brilliant winners—will be available to view soon.

Thank you to everyone who entered, attended, sponsored, judged, hosted, produced and supported the British Claims Awards 2023. Stay tuned for all the photos, the event video and news of 2024!
