Neil Hudgell Solicitors has bought 200 cases from Birmingham-based Ganderton Solicitors for an undisclosed sum.

Ganderton Solicitors, established seven years ago, ceased trading on 30 September and will close in December.

Leigh Ganderton managing director and founder of Ganderton, which has offices in Acocks Green, near Birmingham, said that radical reform meant that personal injury work was no longer profitable for the firm.

“I am pleased that we have been able to transfer the cases to Neil Hudgell Solicitors. It’s been a very straightforward and unbelievably smooth process. Importantly, I am confident our clients will continue to receive high levels of service from Neil Hudgell Solicitors,” said Ganderton.

Neil Hudgell Solicitors Managing Director Neil Hudgell said: “This purchase is part of our on-going strategy to grow, both organically and through acquisition. We are keen to hear from other professionals looking to sell cases or entire practices.”

Since 2011, Neil Hudgell Solicitors has completed 20 other deals totalling £4 million, including the purchase of four legal practices with the help of its webuyanyfiles.com service which allows lawyers, insolvency practitioners, accountants and other professionals an efficient and confidential way to sell practices and cases.
