Australian PI firm looks to shine in the UK

Shine Lawyers, an Australian personal injury firm, has declared that it is ready to enter the UK legal market.

The firm, which is listed on the Australian stock market, has told the Australian Stock Exchange that it is well placed to take advantage of the shifting UK market. The news comes as Shine Lawyers reported a 27% increase in profits in its annual report.

Legal Futures has reported that the firm is looking to capitalise on opportunities in the UK, as well as at home in Australia.

The firm also has close ties with environmental advocate Erin Brockovich, which could see it use her contacts to enter the US legal space as well.

Shine, which was founded in 1976 in Queensland, predominantly handles claimant personal injury work. It now has over 600 people located across nearly 40 offices throughout Australia and is the third largest PI firm in the country.
