Speed Medical appoints new business development manager

Speed Medical has welcomed Thom Soutter into its ranks as a business development manager with specific responsibility for corporate accounts.

Working out of London, Soutter will be responsible for building the medical agency’s presence among the country’s leading legal firms and insurance companies.

Soutter has worked in the legal sector for the past decade and spent two years working for an internationally recognised law firm in Dubai before moving back to the UK.

I would only have returned to the UK for the right role and a challenge,” said Soutter. “Knowing the guys at Speed Medical as I do, understanding their drive for change and development, it was an easy decision. My role has been newly created so this is the start of something exciting which is a huge motivator.”

Chris Chatterton, Speed Medical’s commercial director, said that Soutter’s previous achievements and reputation promised much and would be the catalyst for further expansion.

“The last 12-18 months have seen us step things up, with acquisitions and organic development but, with Thom’s help, we can still take this business to another level,” he said.
