Elite Insurance has appointed both a new legal department head and a director of business development.
Mark Thomson has joined the company as a UK General Counsel to manage its legal arm, while Stuart Lee will drive Elite’s new market and product ventures.
Tim Moll, the company’s head of claims, will also begin managing the newly relocated Elite London office.
Thomson, a former commercial litigation partner at Freeths and litigation funding manager at Burford Capital, has worked extensively with the insurance market. He is also an ADR Group accredited mediator.
He said that Elite had made “huge strides” in a relatively short period of time and that he was looking forward to working closely with the whole team to deliver further growth and success.
“It makes absolute business sense to increase our legal department both from a cost saving perspective as well as in terms of improving our client services offering,” said Elite’s CEO, Jason Smart.
“Mark’s experience within the industry will be invaluable to us and we are thrilled to have him on board”.
