Hill Dickinson shakes hands with the CHO
Hill Dickinson has become an associate member of the Credit Hire Organisation (CHO).
The move augments a long-standing relationship between the two companies, both of which seek to prevent and detect fraudulent activity within the motor insurance supply chain.
The CHO has also invited head of fraud at Hill Dickinson Peter Oakes to join its Executive Committee as an advisor on all matters concerning counter fraud policy and CHO member strategies.
Through retaining close affiliates across the insurance and credit hire industries, Hill Dickinson has been able to draw upon over 200 million claims records within its Netfoil database and its tailor-made internet screening device to combat fraud.
Since the implementation of new partnerships and technology, detecting and prosecuting organised fraud operations has become more commonplace within the motor insurance sector, with custodial sentences having been given.
On the move, Oakes said: “We will continue to support CHO members to share claims data and screen applications for replacement vehicles, in order that they can minimise individual commercial risk and contribute to fraud defences.”
