Quindell appoints new group chief executive officer

Quindell has appointed Indro Mukerjee as its new group chief executive officer.

The 54 year-old Mukerjee will join the company’s board on 7 September.

He is the current non-executive chairman of FlexEnable, flexible electronics technology company and was the former chairman and CEO of C-MAC MicroTechnology. He has also worked for Philips Semiconductors BV, VideoLogic, and Hitachi.

Mukerjee said that he was aware of the challenges that Quindell has been facing and respected the way in which the board had “resolutely and rapidly” dealt with them.

“At the heart of the Company are some excellent people and great technologies,” he said.

“My immediate priority will be to identify how to drive the development of both to serve our customers and create value for our shareholders”.

Richard Rose, Quindell’s non-executive chairman said: “Indro was the outstanding candidate for the role in terms of his experience, his personality and his leadership skills.

“He has a proven track record of creating value through developing and implementing strategies based on matching compelling value propositions to growing markets. His experience includes roles in complex environments, often involving fast moving technologies. We are excited to welcome him to the company.”
