Horwich Farrelly, the specialist insurance industry law firm, has appointed Mark Dickson as a new defendant partner.
Joining from Keoghs, Dickson (pictured) brings over 20 years’ experience in the personal injury claims arena, acting on behalf of a range of insurers, multinational companies and local authorities.
As well as specific expertise in the aviation sector, having been retained as the lawyer of choice for the world’s largest ground handling company, he has a strong track record successfully defending claims for manual handling and repetitive strain injuries as well as defending product liability claims for corporate clients and their insurers.
He also has extensive experience in defending high value employers’ liability and public liability claims. Past claims successfully defended include PTSD claims brought against large retailers following armed robberies as well as claims arising from head and brain injury, spinal cord damage, amputation, fatal accidents and multiple injuries.
“Mark brings considerable proven expertise, complementing the knowledge and expertise already offered to our clients,” said Rob Barrett, managing partner at Horwich Farrelly.
“Bringing the total number of partners at Horwich Farrelly to 35, this latest appointment reflects the growing range and volume of claims we are being asked to defend.”
Dickson said: “Horwich Farrelly has deservedly earned a reputation for consistently achieving the right result for its clients with an innovative approach to investigating and defending a diverse range of claims. I am looking forward to joining the team and applying my expertise to the challenges facing our clients.”
