Gallagher Bassett acquires Property Claims Management Services

Risk management firm Gallagher Bassett has boosted its size and offering in the UK with the acquisition of Property Claims Management Services (PCMS).

With origins dating back to 1991, the Staffordshire-based PCMS business provides property claims management services to insurers and commercial third-party claims administrators through a dedicated fulfilment team.

The service delivery team covers the full range of perils, including escape of water, fire, flood, subsidence and structural impact damage, plus validation, repudiation, and audit.

Nic Sproul and his team at PCMS will continue to operate from their current location, reporting to Simon Pemberton, CEO of UK operations at Gallagher Bassett.

Pemberton (pictured) said: “Gallagher Bassett has worked with PCMS over the last 18 months. We very quickly recognised the team’s expertise and the value they delivered to our clients.”

“We are delighted to welcome Nic and his team into Gallagher Bassett’s growing global team, further developing our property claims management services.”

PCMS managing director Nic Sproul commented: “Joining Gallagher Bassett creates an exciting opportunity to build upon existing and successful joint service relationships with new clients that have already been won in anticipation of the joint proposition.”
