DAC Beachcroft has recruited an insurance team from Norton Rose Fulbright in London.
The seven-strong team of senior insurance lawyers will join Liam O’Connell, who left his position as Norton Rose Fulbright’s head of Europe, Middle East and Africa insurance claims team in May to lead DAC Beachcroft’s global London insurance practice.
The team includes insurance litigation partner Kirsty Hick (pictured) and will complete its move from Norton Rose Fulbright’s insurance claims practice by September.
Hick has acted for global and London market insurers. She advises on complex coverage and defence issues, particularly high-value negligence claims against accountants, insurance brokers and financial institutions. She also has particular expertise in warranty and indemnity claims.
Solicitor Tamsin Stott joined O’Connell last month and the five other lawyers joining are legal directors Rebecca Bailey and Sarah O’Connell, and senior associates Jack Holling, Natasha Marshall and Cathryn Teverson.
Helen Faulkner, global head of insurance at DAC Beachcroft, said: “These strategic hires are pivotal as we continue to expand and strengthen key lines of our global insurance business.”
“Our focus is on delivering high quality advice combined with cutting edge delivery expertise. We are therefore delighted to welcome a team with such a strong reputation in the London insurance market, excellent technical skills and a solid track record of building client relationships.”
