Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) managing director Peter Staddon is retiring at the end of June.
The MGAA confirmed yesterday that his final engagement will be the annual conference on 1 July. The process of appointing a new managing director is already underway.
Staddon was appointed as the association’s first managing director in 2013 and has been integral to growing the size of membership and the benefits offered to MGAA members.
He is an experienced insurance industry practitioner having worked for more than 40 years in broking and delegated authority markets. He is also the former head of technical services at the British Insurance Brokers’ Association.
Staddon sits on a number of industry groups and committees, including the Insurance Charities board and grants committee.
Commenting on Staddon’s retirement, Charles Manchester, chairman of the MGAA, said: “The board and MGAA members are extremely grateful for Peter’s tireless work and commitment on behalf of the Association, in building its role and importance in the market today. We all wish him a long and happy retirement.”
