AXA UK promotes Clare Davies to claims supply chain and engineering director

AXA UK has promoted Clare Davies to the role of claims supply chain and engineering director for its claims technical and central services function.

Within this role, Davies is responsible for bringing the supply chain and engineering teams together under a common structure and strategy.

AXA said that critical to this strategy will be further developing partnerships with suppliers that drive innovation, cost management and the right outcomes for customers.

Davies took on the new role after being promoted from head of motor, legal and lifestyle claims supply chain at AXA.

During her 20 years at AXA, Davies has gathered a broad experience across claims, including leading business transformation programmes, along with various leadership roles in sales and service, customer operations, and business change.

Davies began this role in February, reporting into Karl Parr, claims technical and central services director.

Her new role forms part of the recently formed claims technical and central services function at AXA, which provides strategic direction, best practice, shared services and technical support to the rest of the business.

Commenting on the appointment, Parr said: “Over the last three years our claims function has been on a huge transformation journey, enhancing processes and service to improve the overall claims experience and customer satisfaction. Great progress has been made in this transformation already and I am delighted to have Clare in this role to further strengthen our capabilities and relationships with our supply chain.”

Davies: “I am very pleased and excited to take on this opportunity. Supply chain and engineering are critical parts of our proposition and are significant in the ongoing transformation of the claims function. As part of our strategy, I am excited to advance our use of data and technology to support our customers and deliver a great service to them.”
