Covéa Insurance has appointed Fleur Lewis to the role of head of application fraud.
Lewis has more than 20 years of experience in fraud and crime prevention within the insurance and financial services sectors, designing and implementing anti-fraud and financial crime frameworks across multiple products and delivery channels.
Prior to joining Covéa, Lewis also managed financial crime digital transformation programmes.
She previously led the fight against fraud in the online price comparison sector by designing and implementing award-winning point of quote fraud controls and behavioural insight into the insurance comparison market.
Commenting on the appointment, Javier Gonzalez, head of financial crime claims at Covéa, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fleur to Covéa Insurance where her skills and experience will be a valuable addition to our leadership team that will strengthen our crime prevention strategies.”
“The exposure and risk of fraud can often start as early as the point of the policy application and therefore our continued investment in dedicated subject experts are invaluable to our organisation.”
Lewis said: “I’m very excited to join Covéa Insurance, where I believe I can make a difference through strong cross business collaboration that will drive innovative and creative solutions that both identify and prevent financial crime.”
“Ultimately robust fraud detection and prevention processes save customers both time and money and this is a subject that I care passionately about.”
