Tesco Underwriting appoints FMG as claims management provider for car insurance customers

Tesco Underwriting has appointed claims management specialist FMG to provide integrated repair and mobility solutions for Tesco Bank car insurance customers.

The partnership began last month with FMG providing Tesco Underwriting policyholders with a vehicle repair management solution. Auxillis is fulfilling replacement vehicle requirements as part of an integrated solution.

Dave Thompson, claims director at Tesco Underwriting, explained: “Following the decision last year to underwrite all our car (and home) insurance policies through Tesco Underwriting, we sought a well-established claims management partner who could consistently deliver great customer service to Tesco Bank car insurance customers.”

“We know that making a claim can be a new experience for many. By partnering with FMG our customers can make a claim quickly and easily, and have any necessary repairs made to their car to ensure they get back on the road as soon as possible.”

Through the partnership, which aims to reduce vehicle off road time to a minimum, Tesco Bank car insurance customers gain access to FMG’s nationwide network of owned and managed vehicle repairers, with a range of high-quality repair options available including one-day, mobile and traditional bodyshop repair.

Image capture technology and the availability of eco-friendly parts further reduce delay, according to Tesco Underwriting.

Repairs are also certified to the BS10125 quality standard with FMG’s engineers monitoring repair methods, costs and downtime, while policyholders can stay on the road while their car is being repaired thanks to the replacement vehicle solution provided by Auxillis.
