Keoghs has bolstered its credit hire offering with the recruitment of a new partner and team from Plexus Law.
Anne Chapman (pictured) and the team of five lawyers join the Keoghs tactical credit hire division. Plexus Law was recently acquired out of administration.
Chapman has acted for insurers in credit hire claims for more than two decades. She has worked on some of the most high-profile cases, including Zakir Ali v Spirit International, Pattni v First Leicester Buses and Kadir v Thompson.
Their arrival at Keoghs strengthens the firm’s tactical credit hire division, which is led by partner Gary Herring.
Since its inception in 2019, the division has seen exponential growth and now acts for 15 insurers, representing approximately 60% of the motor insurance market.
Herring commented: “I am delighted to welcome Anne and her team of talented and motivated credit hire specialists to Keoghs.
“This appointment is another significant milestone in the continued growth of our credit hire offering, and helps ensure that we can continue to deliver on our commitment to provide an unrivalled quality of service to our clients.
“Anne brings a superb reputation with key clients and the fact that she chose Keoghs as her new home is testament to our reputation as both the largest and the leading provider of credit hire services to the insurance industry. I look forward to working closely with her to continue to evolve our offering to meet our clients’ needs in a challenging and fast-moving market.”
Chapman said: “Both myself and my team are thrilled to join Gary and his colleagues at Keoghs, who we have long recognised as the market leaders in credit hire litigation.
“We are excited to face this new journey and to make an impact on the challenges this evolving line of work throws at us. We are proud to be a part of such a great company on an exciting growth trajectory and look forward to helping to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”
