Mark Richardson promoted to partnerships director for Academy Insurance

Mark Richardson has been appointed as partnerships director for Academy.

Mark has been with Academy for 26 years. He will now join the executive committee and report to CEO Gilles Normand.

Gilles stated: “It’s great to be able to promote from within, and Mark was the standout candidate for this crucial role. He is a well-regarded leader outside Academy, and his expertise will help us focus our attention on our partners network.

“The role has arisen because we wanted to centralise all our partner relationships in order to drive revenue growth in this area and ensure our partners support us to deliver the required customer outcomes.”

Speaking about his new role, Mark Richardson said: “I’ve been part of Academy for all of my career, and this is the most exciting time for the business that I can remember.”

“I will be responsible for making sure our partners view the brand as a whole, and see their role as contributing to our purpose, rather than simply fulfilling the requirements of a particular policy.”

Gilles went on to explain that Academy aims to provide excellent customer experience, as that is what makes them stand out within a challenging market.

Concluding, Gilles said: “We have made a fast start since the investment by Blixt in July this year, and the market can expect more from Academy as we transform our business to meet our long-term strategic aims and go beyond our customers’ expectations of their insurance provider.”
