Mike Higgins joins Woodgate & Clark as operations director, succeeding Graeme Fitzpatrick, who has retired.
UK loss adjuster Woodgate & Clark has announced the appointment of Mike Higgins as its new operations director.
Higgins, a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years’ of experience in insurance and claims management, succeeds Graeme Fitzpatrick, who has retired after a distinguished 12-year tenure with the company.
Higgins brings a wealth of expertise from his extensive career, which began with a major composite insurer before transitioning to loss adjusting in 2002. At GAB Robins, he progressed from liability adjuster to director of operations for property. Following an eight-year stint and a brief role at a niche liability firm, he joined Crawford in 2015. There, Higgins held a series of senior leadership roles, including London Market Director for Construction, and oversaw key areas such as Real Estate and Field Operations. He also played a pivotal role in developing Crawford’s field team programme.
In his new position, Higgins will join the Woodgate & Clark board of directors and assume responsibility for the company’s day-to-day loss adjusting operations. His role will focus on advancing the company’s commitment to delivering comprehensive claims solutions to the insurance sector, while ensuring the firm’s operational goals are met.
James Eveling, managing director of Woodgate & Clark, said, “We are delighted to attract someone of Mike’s calibre to our business as we enter a very exciting chapter in our growth following the integration of Quadrassist and Spotlite Claims, and as we plan to merge with Van Ameyde UK.
“It is vital that we remain focused on the solutions that make a difference to the cost of claims for insurance providers and for the end customer journey. Mike has the right mix of experience and skills to ensure that focus remains steadfast, whilst also driving innovation and talent programmes.”
