Serious Injury Law, one of the UK’s leading specialist law firms for catastrophic and serious injury cases, is proud to announce the appointment of Ross Smith as Team Leader of its international injury division.
With an extensive background in cross-border personal injury litigation and a strong track record of delivering justice for clients injured abroad, Smith brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and legal expertise to the role.
Having joined from Howe & Co Solicitors, Smith was previously Head of Travel and Joint Head of Post Office Compensation, pursuing compensation for those affected by the Post Office Scandal.
Prior to that, he held senior team leadership roles within the travel divisions of leading firms.
Smith brings significant expertise in complex high value personal injury matters and foreign and domestic matters, including direct actions in the UK against foreign insurers. His appointment reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its international capabilities and providing exceptional representation to clients facing complex international injury cases.
“Ross has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication, technical excellence, and compassion in handling serious injury claims through his vast and varied experience,” said Caroline Morris, Managing Director at Serious Injury Law. “His leadership will be crucial in guiding our international injury division through its next phase of growth.”
Smith has worked in travel litigation since 2012 and has played a key role in securing significant settlements and judgments for clients involved in international road traffic collisions, holiday accidents, and workplace injuries abroad. In his new role, he will lead a team of experienced solicitors and case managers, oversee high-value, cross-jurisdictional claims and foster collaboration with international legal networks.
“I’m delighted to join such a highly respected firm.” said Smith. “Serious Injury Law has built a formidable reputation for taking on some of the most challenging and complex cases, both in the UK and across borders. I am proud to play my part in delivering justice for clients and helping them rebuild their lives, wherever in the world they are injured.”
Established in 1989 and now part of the Fletchers Group of companies, Serious Injury Law has built a reputation for securing multi-million-pound settlements and providing comprehensive wraparound support to clients and their families.
This appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its international expertise and supporting continued growth in complex injury work.
