Trust Mediation wins NHS contract for personal injury and clinical negligence mediation for the third successive time

Trust Mediation are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a third successive contract with NHS Resolution to mediate disputes arising from personal injury and clinical negligence incidents and claims.

Trust Mediation have completed over 1000 mediations since the NHS Resolution scheme began in 2016, and the long- standing partnership is set to continue with a new four-year contract.

Chair, Tim Wallis, says “As a specialist provider of ADR solutions to the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence sector, the continuation of the NHS Resolution contract helps to further cement our position as a leading provider in this sector.   The Trust Mediation panel of accredited mediators also practise as solicitors, barristers, doctors and KCs at the top of their game in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence sector, and over the last twelve months we have extended our panel of sector specialists to now include a mix of Mediators, Evaluators and Arbitrators.   I truly believe that our panel is in the best possible position to the help NHS Resolution deliver their goal of reducing the number of cases going into formal litigation.”

Director, Paul Balen, adds “For the first time the NHS Resolution contract incorporates some additional ADR methods such as Evaluative Mediation and Neutral Evaluation which we feel is a very positive step to help the patients, families and staff involved in healthcare claims. We have been working hard to promote the benefits of these additional ADR methods and so to see NHR Resolution adopting them more widely is very encouraging for the sector.”

“Trust Mediation have also been awarded the brand new additional Neutral Evaluation contract, and we will be using our Trust Evaluation brand for this part of the scheme.  The Neutral Evaluation contract covers all claims against the NHS so as well as personal injury and clinical negligence it covers costs, contract and property disputes for example. To help firms understand the details of the new schemes Trust Mediation are offering to run training sessions for those firms that are interested, and we advise firms to get in touch for more details.”
