Westminster Forum Projects has announced that it will holding a seminar on Tuesday 5 November which will examine the state of claims management services regulation.

Six months after the the implementation of Government’s referral fee ban across personal injury claims, the seminar is also timed to assess the impact of wider revisions to the industry’s conduct rules introduced in July.

The guest speaker at the event will be Kevin Rousell, the head of the Claims Management Regulation Unit at the Ministry of Justice. He will be joined by Richard Collins, an executive at the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Other speakers will include Nick Baxter, independent chairman of the Professional Financial Claims Association; Craig Budsworth, chairman of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS); Ben Fletcher, director at the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB); Alan Nesbit, chair of the Association of Regulated Claims Management Companies; and Legal Ombudsman Adam Sampson.

Sessions will bring together claims management companies (CMCs) and legal practitioners working across regulated claims sectors – including (but not limited to) personal injury and financial products litigation – alongside representatives from insurers, financial services, accident management companies, campaign groups and consumer bodies.
