Medical Accident Group has estimated that almost three quarters of all catastrophic injury claim enquiries are linked to car accidents.

Using its own claims data, the PI firm has discovered that 73% of catastrophic injury claims they’ve received over the past six months were for injuries caused by a road traffic accident.

The firm, owned by Harrison Clark Rickerbys, one of the largest law firms within the three counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, has also found that most common catastrophic injury enquiries it had received in the same time period were related to spinal injury, which accounted for 33% of claims. This was followed by brain injury (23%), neck injury (17%), amputation (15%) and burns (12%).

Medical Accident Group has also seen a steady increase of people contacting the firm with potential catastrophic injury claims in the last few months.
