Three new faces at Express Solicitors

Express Solicitors, has announced the arrival of three new faces at the firm.

Express has strengthened its board with the appointment of two new partners, Gerald McHugh (pictured left) and Ian Hazeldine (pictured right) and also recruited John Bush as its new finance manager (pictured, centre).

McHugh, who has in claimant PI law for almost 30 years, will oversee systems, strategy, training, mentoring and coaching. He was head of PI at GLP Law, where he first worked with Express Solicitors’ managing partner James Maxey, before setting up his own firm in 1999, McHugh Solicitors.

Hazeldine is a chartered accountant who previously worked as finance director in several high profile North West law firms such as Ralli and Alexander Harris. At Express, he will take responsibility for financial management, reporting and strategy.

McHugh said that he felt lucky to have been offered such an interesting role at the firm which would allow him to share his experience with people at various levels in their careers.

“I’m delighted to be joining James and the successful firm he’s built by putting clients first every step of the way,” he said.

His new colleague Hazeldine echoed his thoughts, adding: “It’s great to join a very well led and managed company, which looks at the business environment in positive way and maximises opportunities.”

Express Solicitors now has 164 employees including 54 fee earners and 15 partners.
