Players at the Claims Media golf day have raised £1,280 for Brian House Children’s Hospice.
The event, which took place on 9 July at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club near Manchester, saw 18 four-member teams play a full round of golf in aid of the hospice, which provides palliative care for children with incurable diseases.
Golfers from various parts of the claims sector came together on the day, which was sponsored by Tower Costs Solutions, and competed for a six prizes.
The first of those, for best individual performance, was won by Chris Shaw from Quindell. The winning team was Nesbit Law Group, which was made up of Nick Stevenson (NLG), Ben Clarke (Flick Policies), Mark Fenning (Stephensons Solicitors) and Colm Clerkin. The second placed team was Amberis, which included Phil Davies, Steve Beard, Paul Richardson and Adam Parry.
The third placed team was Par-Tee Beavers, formed by Such Amin (iCase), Jonathan Bassey (inCase), Andrew McHale (McHale & Co) and Chris Sutton (JMW Solicitors).
The winner of the nearest the pin competition was Harry Knibb (representing Wosskow Brown) and the longest drive went to Andrew Jager from Quindell.
