ZebraLC has won the Best in the UK Legal Sector award at the Acquisition International’s global M&A Awards.
The niche due diligence business picked up the award after a busy year in which it has advised Fairpoint Group in its acquisition of national law firm Colemans CTTS. It carried out technical, WIP and operational due diligence on volume conveyancing and personal injury for the deal, adding to its work in 2014 when it advised on technical & WIP due diligence in Fairpoint’s £15million acquisition of Simpson Millar.
The company has also advised on technical and carried out the WIP due diligence for private equity firm North Edge Capital.
“This award provides businesses like us with an invaluable profile,” said Zoe Holland, the founder and managing director of ZebraLC.
“This is even more so because we are small, unique and niche. Our work comes through reputation and credibility. Exposure to awards like this enables us to shout out to the wider industry. Having already had out first enquiry from Perth, Australia, the international reach of the award coverage is exciting and again, provides an opportunity to reach audiences outside for the UK.”
Holland said that ZebraLC was the only company that operates in its particular space.
“There is really no-one else in the sector that delivers what we deliver across diverse areas of legal service. What we do often compliments the role of the accountant. With the onset, for example, of the flourishing personal injury M&A sector, the growth of specialist caseload and technical due diligence to assess WIP, technical capability and operational risk is ever present,” she added.
