ARAG appoints Millward as new head of claims

ARAG has made Chris Millward its new head of claims.

Millward joined the legal expenses provider in 2007, with more than six years of legal expenses insurance experience under his belt.

He replaces Paul Upton, who has headed up ARAG’s claims function since the company’s UK launch in 2006. Upton will step down from the company, but still work for it on a consultancy basis.

Tony Buss, ARAG’s managing director, welcomed Millward to the company’s senior management team, calling him an “outstanding candidate”.

Millward said that he appreciated the faith that the ARAG management board had placed in him.

“I wish to thank Paul [Upton] for all his help and hard work over the years,” he said.

“I have learned so much from him. I’m now looking forward to building on the fantastic reputation he has established for our claims service.”
