Over 100 delegates attended a personal injury seminar hosted by Exchange Chambers on 6 October, which focused on the art of advocacy and winning cases.
The event, which took place at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, featured talks from Exchange Chambers’ four personal injury silks – Bill Braithwaite QC, Gerard Martin QC, William Waldron QC and Amanda Yip QC – plus eight other members of the set’s personal injury and clinical negligence team.
Exchange Chambers was also delighted to welcome Rosie Axon, founder and managing director of Chiltern Music Therapy, an award-winning social enterprise and the largest provider of specialist Neuro and Medical Music Therapy services in the UK. Axon coordinated an interactive presentation covering the basics of Neurologic Music Therapy and how it is used.
The seminar was jointly chaired by head of chambers, Bill Braithwaite QC, who delivered a presentation on avoiding trial and alternative dispute resolution, and Gerard Martin QC, who delivered a presentation on witness statements.
A two-time winner of the Personal Injury Barrister of the Year Award, Bill Braithwaite QC has represented over one thousand catastrophically injured claimants,.
Commenting on the success of the event, Bill Braithwaite QC said: “It was a pleasure to see so many new and familiar faces at our annual personal injury conference. Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone at Chambers who made this event happen.”
Gerard Martin QC added: “This was our most successful ever personal injury seminar and really showcased the breadth of expertise within our personal injury and clinical negligence team. I would particularly like to thank our external speaker, Rosie Axon, who delivered an excellent and insightful presentation. We have received very positive feedback from delegates about the day.”
